A PATTERN 1907 SWORD BAYONET FOR THE SMLE, dated 3. 17, with 17 in. single-edged steel blade fullered on each side, ricasso stamped with 'King's crown / 1907 / 3. 17 / ??' and Broad Arrow bend test 'X', various inspection markings over, steel cross-guard and hilt, with wooden grips, together with its leather scabbard with steel fittings, blade rusted and pitted, grips worn, pommel with cleaned pitting, scabbard leather badly worn with no finish remaining, stitching failed and splits, length 22 3/4 in. overall
